Frequently Asked Questions

What is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT®) aka "Tapping" is an evidence-based method that combines acupressure and tools drawn from cognitive and exposure therapies. Clients tap gently through a series of acupressure points on their body, while using a specific verbal script in a "call & response style" method. This approach effectively re-wires the physiological response to outdated beliefs, unwanted self talk, uncomfortable feelings, and relevant memories. EFT is proven to reduce stress hormones like cortisol, regulate breathing patterns, and slow brain waves.

How does EFT work with the subconscious?

Every block, obstacle, and symptom that prevents you from living your dream life started somewhere in your history. It became a part of your subconscious and no matter how long ago it was, it will steer the ship of your life until you really look at it. In Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT®) terms, these blocks or obstacles are called "root causes". EFT helps you identify and shift these root causes.  You'll be amazed at how opportunities arise and people around you start to shift!

Why EFT with me?

I am highly skilled at helping you identify and shift these root causes. While EFT (aka "Tapping") may be done on your own, we have major blind spots. This is equally true for both beginners and experts. It's very important to be witnessed, supported, and mirrored by a practitioner through the EFT Coaching process. Private sessions are highly efficient and rather than a "flash in the pan" moment of success, this is true lasting change.

How many sessions will I need?

The answer varies from client to client. Read through the testimonials and you'll see even a single session can deliver results. However, if you're looking for results in several areas or shifts in something chronic,  usually weekly or bi-weekly sessions are recommended.

When should I schedule my session?

Schedule your session when you can remain focused, in a quiet space where you'll be uninterrupted. Please ensure you have the best internet and/or cell phone connection possible.

Are EFT sessions considered therapy?

The primary use of EFT during coaching sessions is to uncover and shift outdated beliefs and thoughts, that may be keeping you from goal achievement. This is an important distinction and not usually the primary focus of psychotherapy, talk therapy, grief counseling and addiction treatment. Coaching is NEVER a substitute for psychiatric or medical care. Coaching sessions are not covered by insurance, as this would require a Licensed Therapist. Please read the disclaimer found on the policies page.
